Disabled Barbie
These images are from a body of work named Disabled Barbie. The images visually challenge ideas of the disabled body in contemporary society; created in response to Vogue Brazil’s image of the ideal paralympians, and how we view disability and body image as a result of this. Issues surrounding disability accessibility and acceptance are still something that needs challenging and will form the basis of projects for the future.
